Dr. Dennis graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a BS in Animal Science. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 1983. He founded Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital in 1986, with his medical interests including internal medicine, dentistry, surgery and canine sports medicine. Dr. Dennis’s hobbies are working with his Gordon setters and chocolate labrador retrievers, hunting and fishing.


She attended the University of Minnesota for Animal Science and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 1983. After being classmates in Veterinary School, she and Dr. Dennis married in 1986, and she joined Barrington Oaks in 1988. Her veterinary interests include geriatric feline medicine, internal medicine, avian, and small mammal/pocket pet husbandry and care. Dr. Kim’s hobbies are showing her American Saddlebred horses, caring for her rescued Persians and munchkin cats, and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings. Dr. Dennis and Dr. Kim have a daughter, Cameron, who is also attending the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.

Team member Dr. Rick


Dr. Rick Peterson was raised in North Branch, Minnesota. He is a 1988 graduate from the University of Minnesota with a B. S. in Biology and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. Dr. Rick is a member of the AVMA and MVMA with a special interest in canine and feline medicine and surgery. He and his wife have one son. He enjoys woodworking, outdoor activities, gardening and landscaping and takes interest in old cars and trucks.


Dr. Sarah is a California native. She attended the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine with special interests in dermatology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine. She enjoys running, cooking, fishing and spending time with family and friends.


Dr. Liz Pepin was born in Brooklyn Park, MN and later lived in South Dakota then North Dakota where she received her B.A. in Fine Studio Arts from Jamestown College. She went on to graduate from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Her professional interests include ophthalmology, exotic/pocket pet medicine, and preventative medicine. She shares her home with her rescued pets: a dwarf rabbit, dog and cat. Her hobbies include cooking, dancing, trips to Disney World and spending time outdoors.

Vet. Assistant

Heather was born and raised in Minnesota. She has four dogs,three cats, three snakes, a chameleon, and a gecko. Heather has been employed with Barrington Oaks North Animal Clinic for 5 years. In her spare time, she likes to travel and camp with her three children.

Tammy has been with Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital since 1998. She started out as our groomer, and then receptionist. She is currently our receptionist and veterinary assistant in our Princeton location. Tammy enjoys showing her dogs at top level competitions all over the country. She has a daughter and a son, plus 2 granddaughters. Tammy enjoys her free time spending it with her husband Jeff of 30 years.



Born and raised in Minnesota, K’lynn has always known that she wanted to work with animals in some way. She has volunteered and worked with animals ever since she was 11 years old. At home she lives with her cat Jasmine and hope’s to adopt a dog soon. Outside of work, K’lynn loves reading, traveling, camping/backpacking, and spending time with her family.
